Electricity Authority: Enhancing the efficiency of power systems in GCC countries

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy participated in the meeting of the Gulf Technical Committee for Specifications of Equipment for Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electrical Energy (GSO-TC-09), held at the headquarters of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Standards Organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Ministry was represented by Acting Director of the Electrical Distribution Networks Department, Eng. Emad Al-Jatili; Acting Director of the Maintenance Department for Main Substations, Eng. Khaled Al-Otaibi; and Director of the Shuaiba Power Generation and Water Desalination Plants Department, Eng. Talal Al-Doub. The Ministry’s participation aligns with its commitment to enhancing technical cooperation and coordination among GCC member states, and contributing to the development and harmonization of Gulf standard specifications for equipment and systems for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy, thereby improving efficiency and strengthening the reliability of electrical power systems across the Gulf region.
