Deputy Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, stated that the country’s weather over the weekend will generally be hot during the day and warm at night, with dusty and humid winds and a chance of fog. Al-Ali told KUNA that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country is affected by an extension of the Indian monsoon trough, accompanied by a relatively hot and humid air mass, particularly in coastal areas. Winds will be light to moderate northwesterly, occasionally strengthening and raising dust in exposed areas.
He clarified that Friday’s daytime weather will be hot and relatively humid, especially in coastal regions, with variable to southeasterly winds of light to moderate speed, ranging between 8 and 32 kilometers per hour, and a chance of light fog in the evening. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 41 and 43 degrees Celsius, while sea conditions will be light to moderate, with wave heights between 2 and 4 feet.
He noted that Friday night’s weather will be warm and humid, particularly in coastal areas, with southwesterly to variable winds of light to moderate speed, ranging between 6 and 26 kilometers per hour, and a chance of light fog in some areas. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius, with sea conditions remaining light to moderate, with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet.
Regarding Saturday’s daytime weather, Al-Ali said it will be hot and humid, especially in coastal areas, with northwesterly winds shifting to southeasterly, of light to moderate speed, ranging between 6 and 26 kilometers per hour, and a chance of light fog in the evening. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 39 and 41 degrees Celsius, with sea conditions light to moderate, with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet.
He pointed out that Saturday night’s weather will be warm and humid, particularly in coastal areas, with southeasterly to variable winds of light to moderate speed, ranging between 6 and 28 kilometers per hour, and a chance of light fog in some areas. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius, with sea conditions light to moderate, with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet.
