"Al-Khaza" sparks a four-way brawl in Salwa

Abdullah Qanais A fleeting glance, described as a “disrespectful look,” sparked a four-way brawl among four Kuwaiti youths in the Salwa area, leaving two of them with bruises and abrasions on their faces and chests. Security forces intervened to break up the fight and took both sides to the police station.

A security source told Al-Anba that the Ministry of Interior’s operations center received a report of a youth altercation in Salwa, prompting a security patrol to be dispatched to the scene. The patrol confirmed that the fight had broken out between four Kuwaiti youths.

The source added that two of the combatants requested to see a doctor for a medical examination. They were allowed to leave after their details were recorded and two medical reports were filed, documenting injuries consisting of abrasions and bruises on their faces and chests. The other two parties were taken to the police station.

In preliminary investigations, one of the combatants stated that the incident began after he left a sports club. He noticed someone looking at him and asked why he was being stared at in that manner. The other person ignored him, leading to a verbal altercation that quickly escalated into a physical fight and exchange of blows.

The source noted that the parties involved exchanged accusations regarding the cause of the incident. Investigators are scheduled to re-interview them to ascertain the circumstances of the brawl and determine responsibility.
