Ministry of Education Documents Brutish Iranian Aggressions in New Curricula

Alaa Khalifa The Ministry of Education has documented Iranian attacks on Kuwait within the new curricula, through the “History” textbook for the tenth grade, which detailed on pages 56 and 57 the attacks the country experienced in 2026. The textbook stated that Kuwait witnessed “an unjust Iranian aggression and its militias in the region” using missiles and drones, targeting vital and government facilities and residential areas, including electricity generation and water desalination plants, Kuwait International Airport, the Social Security Affairs Institution building, and the Ministries Complex. It noted that these attacks constituted a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and security, necessitating the raising of the readiness of state institutions. The curriculum affirmed Kuwait’s right to defend its territory, while continuing its diplomatic efforts to maintain regional security and stability. It highlighted the leadership role of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in directing state institutions and enhancing their readiness, and emphasized that Kuwait is not a party to the conflict between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other. The textbook also addressed Kuwait’s position calling for respect for the sovereignty of states and adherence to international law, and for not allowing its territory, airspace, or waters to be used to attack any country. It stressed that the crisis demonstrated the importance of national unity, the cohesion of the leadership and the people, and the readiness of state institutions, alongside the continuation of Kuwait’s approach advocating dialogue, de-escalation, and respect for international law.
