Delhi Police Reunite Boy Missing from Hospital After 1,000 km Tracking; Abductor, Mother of Six Daughters, Wanted a Boy

Delhi Police have successfully recovered a three-year-old boy after he went missing from a government hospital in the western part of the Indian capital, following a tracking operation that spanned more than 1,000 kilometers and ended with his safe discovery in Bihar, according to the Times of India.

The incident began on August 27 at the Jai Prakash Narayan Apollo Institute (JGHS) hospital in the Khairatabad area, when the child disappeared while his mother was collecting medications.

Surveillance footage showed a woman leaving the premises carrying the child, enabling police to track her movements to the Madipur area, and then to Asnaha village in Munger district, Bihar.

Police identified the 31-year-old suspect.

According to her statement to the police, she is the mother of six daughters and desired to raise a son, adding that medical issues prevented her from having another child. The boy was reunited with his family in Delhi after being found safe.
