Our Envoy to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Holds Talks with its Secretary-General on Strengthening the Course of Joint Cooperation

The Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Jeddah and its Permanent Representative to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Yousef Al-Tineeb, affirmed Kuwait’s support for the efforts of the OIC’s new Secretary-General, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, to advance the trajectory of joint Islamic cooperation.
In a statement, Kuwait’s Permanent Delegation to the OIC said this came during a meeting held by Al-Tineeb with the new Secretary-General at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.
The delegation noted that during the meeting, the Permanent Representative, Al-Tineeb, handed over a written message from Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaraah Al-Jaber to the OIC Secretary-General.
Al-Tineeb expressed his congratulations to the Secretary-General on his election to the post, wishing him success and prosperity in discharging his duties, and reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to activating the OIC’s role in serving the issues of the Islamic Ummah and realizing the aspirations of its member states.
He pointed out that the meeting reviewed the distinguished relations between Kuwait and the OIC, as well as ways to enhance and develop them.
Al-Tineeb noted that the OIC Secretary-General expressed his appreciation during the meeting for Kuwait’s pioneering role in supporting Islamic causes, and indicated his expectation for the continuation of this joint cooperation.
