Investigation into the death of an expatriate who fell from the third floor in Abu Halifa
Abdullah Qanais: The body of an Indian national, born in 1999, was referred to the forensic medicine department, while an investigator from the Abu Halifa Police Station was tasked with opening an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
The Ministry of Interior’s operations center had received a report the day before yesterday regarding an expatriate falling from the third floor. Upon the arrival of security personnel, it was confirmed that the expatriate had died immediately upon impact. When questioned, the guard stated that he heard a loud thud and, upon exiting his room, found the expatriate lying in a pool of blood. Meanwhile, the expatriate’s housemates said he was suffering from psychological problems and had no involvement in his fall.
In a separate incident, an individual of unspecified nationality filed a report alleging that he was assaulted by an unknown person in the Al-Firdous area. The Public Prosecution ordered the case to be registered and tasked the Criminal Investigation Department with conducting inquiries to identify the suspect.
