"Joke" ends with incident injuring a bullet in the eye of Um Samma
A joke between two young men turned into a serious injury case after a 15-year-old boy was shot in the eye with an “Umm Samjah” rifle while he was in a desert area opposite Al-Mutlaa.
A security source said the boy’s father reported the incident, clarifying that it occurred at dawn and that he submitted a medical report confirming his son’s injury.
The source added that the boy stated in his testimony that he was horseback riding when a 27-year-old citizen drew an “Umm Samjah” rifle and pointed it at him, asking, “Do you want me to shoot you?” The boy replied, “Don’t do it,” before the man fired, hitting him in the eye, according to his account.
The source noted that the Public Prosecution has ordered criminal investigation authorities to probe the circumstances of the incident, alongside assigning a forensic medical examination. A case has been registered regarding the incident to facilitate further investigations and uncover the truth of what happened.
