Ministry of Public Works Enters New Phase of Sustainability

In a move reflecting its ongoing commitment to sustainability and enhancing energy efficiency, Al Mubarak Company announced the installation and commissioning of solar panels for the first time at its headquarters in The Avenues – Kuwait. This initiative is part of the company’s strategy to expand the use of renewable energy solutions and strengthen its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, thereby reducing the environmental footprint of its operations and supporting its transition toward a more sustainable future.
The system comprises 104 solar panels utilizing modern energy generation technologies, with a total installed capacity of 65 kilowatts peak (kWp). It is expected to produce approximately 102,650 kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, contributing to a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by around 67 tons per year.

This marks the first time Al Mubarak Company has relied on solar panels for power generation at its headquarters in The Avenues – Kuwait. The commissioning of the system represents an initial step within a broader strategy to increase reliance on solar energy, thereby enhancing energy consumption efficiency and supporting the company’s efforts to curb carbon emissions.
