Registration opened for Egyptians abroad in the "Real Estate Tax Application"

Cairo – Nadeh Imam: Ahmed Kojok, Minister of Finance, confirmed that the ministry is working to simplify electronic procedures in the “Real Estate Tax Application” and remove any challenges faced by taxpayers. He highlighted improvements in the mechanism for reading and extracting data, as well as registration steps and submission processes, while expanding the provision of electronic services. He also noted that Egyptians abroad are now able to register through the application.

Kojok pointed out that taxpayers are now permitted to settle debts electronically without the need for prior procedures.

For his part, Rami Youssef, Assistant Minister for Tax Policy, affirmed that efforts are underway to facilitate operations for real estate companies and expedite the handling of tax declarations by allowing the simultaneous upload of data for a group of units when submitting a tax declaration. He added that there are guides and instructional videos explaining the services and how to complete procedures correctly.

In turn, Khaled Abdel Ghani, CEO of “E-Tax,” stated: “We are working to improve the temporary OTP verification mechanism to simplify the registration process and enhance the efficiency of user identity verification. We are also streamlining account creation and login steps, ensuring rapid receipt and entry of verification codes, reducing errors in contact information entry, and minimizing instances where verification codes or activation messages fail to be received.”
