Saudi National Shipping Company: Two crew members of the tanker 'Sadr' die following an incident in the Strait of Hormuz
The Saudi National Shipping Company (SNSC) announced the death of two Filipino sailors aboard its tanker Sidr following a security incident as the vessel transited the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement posted on its official X account, the company said the tanker Sidr (IMO 9854715) was involved in the incident around 23:40 local time last Monday.
The company expressed its deep sorrow and regret over the deaths of the two Filipino sailors, offering its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to their families, relatives, and colleagues.
It affirmed that it is providing full support to the families and colleagues of the deceased, noting that it maintains continuous communication with the vessel and is closely coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders in the maritime sector while closely monitoring developments.
The company emphasized that the safety and well-being of its employees are its top priorities, reaffirming its commitment to operating in accordance with the highest standards of safety, security, and environmental protection.
