CENTCOM: We targeted Iranian Revolutionary Guard sites, including air defenses and radar systems

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the successful execution of a series of strikes against Iranian military targets. CENTCOM stated in a post on X: “U.S. forces targeted Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps sites, including air defense positions, radar systems, naval assets and facilities, mine-laying capabilities, and communications sites.” The U.S. Central Command affirmed that these strikes come in response to recent attempts by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps to attack commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. personnel. CENTCOM noted that more than 50,000 U.S. troops are currently deployed across the Middle East, standing ready and prepared to continue carrying out operations directed by the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.
