Al-Awad: Strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Interior to implement security camera requirements in associations

AbdulKarim Al-Abdullah: Maryam Al-Awad, the appointed director of the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies, emphasized the importance of the informational meeting regarding Law No. (61) of 2015 concerning the regulation and installation of security surveillance cameras and devices, which was held at the Union’s headquarters. She noted that the meeting aligns with the Union’s commitment to supporting cooperative societies and enhancing their readiness to comply with security requirements and regulations.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director General of the General Administration of Security Systems at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Mishaari Jaber Al-Ahmad, representatives from the Ministry of Interior, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Consumer Cooperative Societies. During the session, the requirements and procedures related to security surveillance cameras and the mechanism for their implementation in facilities and establishments affiliated with the cooperatives were reviewed.

Al-Awad stated that the meeting helped clarify the technical and regulatory aspects associated with the implementation of the law and addressed inquiries from cooperative society representatives, thereby facilitating the harmonization of procedures and easing compliance with the approved requirements.
