The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, in its capacity as a strategic partner, honored the scientific team of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) at “Sustainability Camp – Season 4,” organized by Enviro Group in collaboration with the Adailiya Health Area Committee, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Science Centre.
The Ministry was represented by Eng. Fatima Hayah, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Monitoring, Control and Supervision Centers. The Ministry was honored in recognition of its role in supporting efforts to raise awareness of sustainability concepts and promote a culture of conserving electricity and water consumption, through the national energy and water conservation campaign “Wafar,” and the awareness programs and initiatives it provides targeting various segments of society.
During the event, the Ministry participated in evaluating sustainability projects submitted by children participating in the camp. These projects reflected their ideas and initiatives in areas such as preserving natural resources, conserving consumption, and sustainability, thereby contributing to enhancing their environmental awareness and encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices from an early age.
The Ministry’s participation in this event is part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of sustainability and reinforce the concepts of responsible resource use among emerging generations, supporting the objectives of the national energy and water conservation campaign “Wafar” in building a more aware society regarding the importance of conserving electricity and water resources.
