Kazma and Al-Sahel .. Goalless Draw

Abdulaziz Jasem

The match between Kazma and Al-Sahel ended in a goalless 0-0 draw in the game played this evening at the Sadaqua Walsalam Stadium, as part of the second round of the Zain Premier League. With this draw, both teams moved up to four points.

From the opening minutes of the first half, Kazma pressed heavily on Al-Sahel’s goal in search of the opening goal, but their attempts, whether through crosses or shots, failed to find the net, with most of their chances going to waste, especially given the outstanding performance of goalkeeper Fawaz Al-Dosari, who saved several dangerous balls. In contrast, the “sons of Ayuhlifah” contented themselves with defending compactly in their own half, without posing any significant threat to Kazma’s goal.

The second half was no different from the first, almost as if it were a replay: continuous pressure from the “orange” side (Kazma) and strong, highly focused defending from Al-Sahel players, who managed to neutralize the danger posed by Kazma’s attackers throughout the 45 minutes. In stoppage time, scuffles broke out among players after Kazma scored a goal that was disallowed by the referee for offside. The goal was scored by German player Torlies Knoll, and as a result, Al-Sahel defender Mauricio Oliveira was sent off (104th minute). The referee, Ali Abbas, also showed a second yellow card to Kazma player Amath Ndao, resulting in his dismissal.

Referee Ali Abbas managed the match competently.
