Minister of Education and Higher Education Approves the Results of the Second Round of the General Secondary School Examinations

Cairo – Ahmed Sabri: Yesterday, Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, approved the results of the second-term exams for the General Secondary School Certificate for the 2025/2026 academic year, following the completion of grading, score recording, and meticulous review of the results.
The Ministry clarified that the total number of applicants for the second-term exams under both the new and old systems amounted to 208,218 students, of whom 207,992 attended.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced that the overall success rate for students under the new system reached 92.2%, with a success rate of 91.3% in the Science stream, 92.6% in the Mathematics stream, and 93.9% in the Arts stream.
The overall success rate for students under the old system reached 99%, with a success rate of 99.6% in the Science stream, 93.2% in the Mathematics stream, and 100% in the Arts stream.
The total number of applicants for the second-term exams under the new system was 207,190 students, of whom 207,101 attended. The number of successful students reached 190,876, representing a success rate of 92.2% of the total attendees.
Regarding the old system, the total number of applicants was 1,028 students, of whom 891 attended. The number of successful students reached 882, representing a success rate of 99% of the total attendees.
