Bahraini Interior Minister Receives Heads of Delegations of the Gulf Customs Union Authority

Field Marshal Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, received the heads of delegations participating in the 18th meeting of the Executive Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Customs Union Authority, which is being held in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain.

Representing the State of Kuwait at the meeting, according to a statement issued by the Customs Authority, was Yousef Khaled Al-Nuaim, Director General of the General Customs Authority, who led the Kuwaiti delegation.

The meeting discussed the progress of joint GCC customs work and ways to enhance coordination, information exchange, and harmonization of procedures, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of border crossings and facilitating trade flows among GCC member states.

The Bahraini Minister of Interior commended the efforts of the Customs Union Authority and member states in supporting the advancement of GCC customs integration, emphasizing the importance of accelerating joint efforts and completing the necessary systems and procedures to realize the objectives of the Customs Union in practice.

Kuwait’s participation underscores its commitment to supporting GCC customs integration and enhancing regional security and the smooth flow of trade.
