Deputy Minister of Health Visits Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Center for Chemical Defense and Radiation Monitoring at the National Guard

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Sheikh Dr. Salman Al-Sabah, accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs, Dr. Muntaser Al-Husawi, visited the Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Center for Chemical Defense and Radiation Monitoring of the National Guard. They were received by the Acting Commander of Military and Security Affairs, Brigadier General Abdullah Saleh Abdullah, and the Director of the Medical Services Directorate, Brigadier General Mohammed Abdullah Ali.
Brigadier General Abdullah Saleh welcomed the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and his accompanying delegation, conveying greetings from the National Guard leadership. He emphasized the importance of exchanging visits and enhancing cooperation and coordination among state institutions in areas related to health, safety, and prevention of chemical and radiation risks.
During the visit, the Undersecretary of Health toured the center’s facilities and capabilities, and listened to a briefing on its national role in monitoring and tracking radiation levels and hazardous materials through monitoring stations covering the country’s territory and territorial waters. The National Guard continues to carry out its duties in chemical defense and radiation monitoring in collaboration with the relevant authorities.
