Manama, KUNA: Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani held a telephone conversation on Monday with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to discuss joint coordination to preserve regional security and stability and to enhance Arab cooperation at all levels.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the call also addressed regional developments and the repercussions of Iran’s Monday attack on Jordan using ballistic missiles, during which the Bahraini foreign minister expressed Bahrain’s condemnation of the reprehensible Iranian aggression.
The ministry added that the foreign minister reaffirmed Bahrain’s solidarity with Jordan in all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as to protect its citizens and residents on its territory.
It further noted that the call also covered the trajectory of the close fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and ways to strengthen them across various fields in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples, as well as discussing prospects for cooperation.
