"The College" Transfers the Register of Labor, Civil, and Rental Cases to Al-Jahra, Hawalli, and Al-Farwaniya Courts

The Court of First Instance’s Registry Administration announced that, pursuant to Advisory Decision No. 45 issued by the Deputy President of the Court of First Instance on August 9, 2026, the registration of new labor lawsuits in all governorates, except Al-Jahra Governorate, is suspended starting September 1, 2026.

It was also decided to suspend the registration of new “Civil First Instance” lawsuits at the Farwaniya Court starting September 1, 2026, along with suspending the registration of new first-instance rental lawsuits in Farwaniya and Al-Jahra at the Al-Jahra Court from the same date.

The decision stipulated that new labor lawsuits in all governorates shall be registered at the Al-Jahra Court starting September 1, 2026.

New “Civil First Instance” lawsuits shall be registered at the Hawalli Court starting September 1, 2026.

New first-instance rental lawsuits in Farwaniya and Al-Jahra shall be registered at the Farwaniya Court starting September 1, 2026.
