Chinese investments of $67 million to establish a health products complex in the Al-Sukhna Integrated Zone
Cairo - Ahmed Sabri The Media Center of the Council of Ministers published an infographic via its social media accounts, outlining key information about the project by the Chinese company Jieya (Jia Egypt) for health products to establish an integrated industrial complex for health products in the integrated Suez Canal Zone area, in line with the state’s direction to localize value-added industries and enhance the utilization of foreign investments and the transfer of modern technology.
The project comes in light of the solid strategic relations between Egypt and China, and reflects the success of the Suez Canal Economic Zone in attracting high-quality industrial investments and strengthening partnerships with investors, thereby supporting the implementation of its vision aimed at achieving comprehensive development across its economic, social, and environmental dimensions, in alignment with the state’s vision for industrial development.
In this context, the Suez Canal Economic Zone continues to work in an integrated manner with its investor partners to provide an attractive investment environment, support the localization of industry and the transfer of advanced technology, and enhance the integration of value chains in priority industrial and logistics sectors, contributing to increased local production and opening new horizons for exports.
The infographic highlighted key information about the project, noting that its total investment amounts to $67 million, and it will be established on a total area of 160,000 square meters. It is expected to provide approximately 450 direct job opportunities, and aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 8.1 billion pieces of single-use health supplies.
The infographic clarified that the project is being implemented within the scope of the new expansion area of the industrial developer “TEDA Egypt,” with production expected to begin within two years, thereby enhancing local production capabilities in the field of health products and supplies, and supporting efforts to localize this industry.
