The second round of the Zain Premier League concluded this evening with two matches. The first saw Kazma draw with Al-Sahel, both teams earning three points at the Friendship and Peace Stadium. In the second match, Al-Tadamon faced Al-Salmiya at its home ground in the Farwaniya district; both teams entered the match winless after losing their opening fixtures.

Kazma started the league campaign strongly, defeating Al-Sahel 3-1 by capitalizing effectively on their chances. Goals were scored by Shuaib Al-Khalidi, Amath Ndao, and Patrick Robson, with Al-Khalidi named Man of the Match for the round.

The “Orange” side must impose its identity from the outset and enter the competition as a title contender, having strengthened its squad with several local and foreign players. Unlike previous seasons, where the club merely competed for top positions, this season offers a better opportunity to challenge for the championship.

Meanwhile, newly promoted Al-Sahel secured its first three points under coach Ali Abdul-Razzaq, following a 1-0 victory over Al-Sulaibikhat thanks to a goal by Alan de Souza. Al-Sahel’s squad includes four other Brazilian players, and they have a strong chance of securing a positive result today.

In the second match, Al-Tadamon, under the guidance of Bosnian coach Remetic, seeks to avenge their opening-day home defeat. However, they must address errors from their previous match, including a drop in player fitness levels during the second half. Similarly, Al-Salmiya, under Bahraini coach Ali Ashour, aim to return to winning ways after stumbling to a 1-2 defeat against Al-Nasr in the first round due to defensive mistakes that need to be rectified today.
