Citizen detained for assaulting a soldier at the Ministry of Defense in Sulaybiya police station

Kuwait officials detained a citizen born in 1972 at the Salibia Police Station after he was accused of assaulting a military personnel serving in the Ministry of Defense while performing his duties. The soldier had filed a report with the Salibia Police Station, stating that he was attacked while driving a military vehicle on the Seventh Ring Road, opposite the Salibia warehouses, heading toward Al-Jahra. In his report, the soldier said he was surprised when, while driving, the driver of a four-wheel-drive vehicle suddenly stopped his vehicle on the road, then exited his vehicle and assaulted him. Security forces immediately took the necessary legal measures. The soldier submitted a medical report confirming his injuries and attached it to the case file. Authorities contacted the other party by phone and summoned him to the station. After questioning him, the investigator ordered the suspect’s detention to complete the legal procedures. Upon his arrival, a case was registered regarding the incident, and he was detained at the station. The case file was referred to the competent authorities to continue investigations, ascertain the circumstances of the incident, and take the necessary legal actions against him.
