“Interior Ministry”: Launch of interviews for the “Coast Guard Specialty” officer course in Qatar.. “Fire Department”: Acceptance of 130 officers in technology and diploma in science in a public draw

The Ministry of Interior announced the commencement of interviews for applicants seeking to join the Coast Guard specialization officer cadet course, which is scheduled to be held at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Ghanim Al-Ghanim Maritime Academy in the sister State of Qatar.

The Ministry stated that the interviews were conducted under the chairmanship of Assistant Undersecretary for Internal Security Affairs, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab, with the attendance of Assistant Undersecretary for Supporting Security Services Affairs, Major General Fawaz Nasser Al-Roumi, and Head of the Education and Training Sector, Brigadier General Khaled Mubarak Al-Humaidi.

It emphasized that the interviews were carried out in accordance with established procedures and criteria for selecting applicants, ensuring the recruitment of qualified individuals capable of joining the maritime specialization. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to preparing and training national cadres and enhancing readiness in security and maritime fields.

The Assistant Undersecretary stressed the importance of applying selection standards with precision and transparency, and ensuring the selection of distinguished candidates who possess competence, discipline, and readiness to assume responsibility. This contributes to strengthening the Coast Guard sector with qualified and trained national cadres meeting the highest academic and professional standards.

The Ministry noted that this step falls within the framework of cooperation and coordination between the State of Kuwait and the sister State of Qatar in the fields of security education and training, and the exchange of expertise, thereby enhancing the capabilities of security agency personnel and elevating the level of specialized qualification and training.

Meanwhile, the General Fire Force conducted a public lottery yesterday morning for candidates for the Bachelor of Fire Engineering Technology Officer Course and the Diploma in Fire Science Officer Course, under the presence and direct supervision of the General Fire Force Commander, Major General Talal Al-Roumi. A total of 731 qualified applicants participated in the lottery, from which 130 candidates were selected: 30 candidates for the Bachelor’s degree out of 72 qualified applicants, and 100 candidates for the diploma out of 659 qualified applicants.

The lottery was held in the presence of members of the main interviews and admissions committee, to select candidates in accordance with established procedures and criteria.
