Waldorf Astoria Celebrates Kuwaiti Artistic Creativity in a Three-Month Exhibition

Art has long been an integral part of the Waldorf Astoria Kuwait experience, evident throughout the hotel in its carefully curated collection, architectural details, and the exceptional craftsmanship that defines its design. Building on this legacy, the hotel is preparing to launch a three-month exhibition celebrating creative talent in Kuwait and the region, featuring a select group of local and regional artists.

The exhibition will run from September to November 2026, transforming the hotel’s main lobby into a vibrant space where cultural heritage converges with craftsmanship and contemporary expression. The showcase brings together four prominent artists working across diverse disciplines, including wood carving, glassblowing, contemporary Arabic calligraphy, and filigree, each presenting distinctive works that resonate with the identity and spirit of Waldorf Astoria Kuwait.

The exhibition features artist Yahya Abduljalil Jaragh, founder of “Khashbati,” known for his hand-carved sculptures crafted from reclaimed and aged woods, some of which date back centuries. For his part, artist Mohammed Al-Duwaisan, founder of the Gizaz Art Academy, adds a different dimension by blending Italian glassmaking techniques with Arabic narratives and Kuwaiti landscapes.
