Justice: Acceptance of transfer requests for prison inmates based on the applicant's place of residence

The Documentation Administration at the Ministry of Justice has issued a circular regarding the regulation of procedures for submitting transfer requests for prison inmates, emphasizing that applications must be submitted through the Documentation Administration supervisors affiliated with the governorates, each according to the applicant’s place of residence, in accordance with the applicable rules of territorial jurisdiction.

The circular, issued yesterday by the Acting Director of the Documentation Administration, directed supervisors of the relevant departments to receive transfer requests for prison inmates from applicants based on their place of residence and to complete the necessary procedures, thereby ensuring that applicants receive services at the nearest branch affiliated with their place of residence, according to the specified distribution.

The circular specified the Documentation Administration supervisors responsible for receiving the applications, namely: the Capital Documentation Supervisor at the Ministries Complex – Lawyers Association; the Hawalli Documentation Supervisor; the Farwaniya Documentation Supervisor; the Ahmadi Documentation Supervisor; the Jahra Documentation Supervisor; and the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Documentation Supervisor.

The circular stressed the necessity for all parties to adhere to the provisions outlined in the circular regarding the mechanism for receiving transfer requests for prison inmates in accordance with territorial jurisdiction and the applicant’s place of residence.
