Extension of the interim committee for the management of the Kuwait Farmers Union for 3 months

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Manpower, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, issued a ministerial decision regarding the renewal of the term of the interim committee to manage the Kuwait Farmers Union. The decision, published in the official gazette “Kuwait Al-Yaum” under No. 4 of 2026, stipulates the following:

Article (1): The term of the interim committee to assume the duties of managing the Kuwait Farmers Union is renewed for a period of three months, pending the holding of new elections in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations, composed of the following members:

1. Ahmed Maslat Farhan Al-Adwani – Chairman

2. Fahad Musafir Jaber Al-Hayan – Deputy Chairman

3. Ahmed Nasser Shabib Al-Shibak – Secretary-General

4. Obaid Nasser Abdullah Al-Nufishan – Treasurer

The committee may enlist the assistance of any qualified and experienced individuals deemed suitable to perform its duties, without granting them voting rights.

Article (2): The committee shall undertake the tasks specified in Article (3) of Ministerial Decision No. 3 of 2025, specifically:

- Managing the urgent administrative and financial affairs of the Union.

- Collecting membership dues from members.

- Preparing and updating the lists of General Assembly members who meet the membership and voting eligibility criteria.

- Convening a General Assembly meeting.

- Overseeing the candidacy and election procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Article (3): The committee shall convene upon invitation by its Chairman or Deputy Chairman. A meeting shall not be valid unless at least half of the members, plus the Chairman or Deputy Chairman, are present. The committee shall adopt its decisions by an absolute majority of the attending members. In the event of a tie, the vote of the meeting’s Chairman shall prevail.

Article (4): The committee shall prepare a detailed report of all its activities and submit it to the first General Assembly of the Union for approval, and shall provide a copy to the relevant Minister.

Article (5): This decision shall take effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the official gazette.
