A swimmer invests 300 dinars, ends up with “something worth two dinars” and a “block,” amid a breach of trust case

Abdullah Qanais directed investigators at the Salhiya Police Station to summon a citizen specializing in selling devices and equipment through public auctions, following allegations of breach of trust. This action came after a complaint was filed by a man in his fifties.

In his statement, the complainant said he follows pages dedicated to showcasing auctions and contacted the administration of one such page, which is managed by a citizen. The manager informed him that he had a swimming pool he wished to sell for no less than 300 dinars.

The complainant added that he sent an agent to take possession of the pool, but waited more than a month without seeing it listed in the auction. He then contacted the page administrator to inquire about the reasons for its non-appearance, receiving assurances that the matter would be resolved.

He continued that he waited another month, then contacted the administrator again and requested the return of the pool. However, he was surprised to be told that “the pool is only worth two dinars,” after which the administrator blocked him by phone. This prompted him to go to the Salhiya Police Station and file a case for breach of trust.
