Gold worth 20,000 dinars stolen from a doctor's home

A team of forensic experts moved to the home of a Kuwaiti doctor in a district of the Hawalli Governorate to lift fingerprints and traces that unidentified thieves may have left behind, following a burglary in which jewelry valued at approximately 20,000 dinars was stolen.

The victim declined to accuse any specific individual, leaving the task of identifying the perpetrators to the detectives, who have begun gathering intelligence and reviewing surveillance cameras around the house, while also expanding the circle of suspicion to include the doctor’s close associates and employees.

In her statement, the doctor said that most of the stolen jewelry was made of gold, explaining that she kept it as a savings vehicle, particularly given the repeated rises in gold prices.

According to a security source, a report was received by the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior regarding a burglary at a residence in one of the districts of the Hawalli Governorate. Upon the arrival of security personnel at the scene, the complainant stated that she had returned from work to discover that the gold she kept in her bedroom had disappeared.

The victim did not specify in her statement whether the jewelry was stored in a safe or elsewhere in the bedroom. Meanwhile, forensic experts began their work to lift traces and fingerprints from the scene, coinciding with the movement of criminal investigation officers to identify the suspects.

The source suggested that the experience of the detectives would help uncover the circumstances of the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice, especially as security footage continues to be examined and the circle of suspicion is narrowed, which could lead to the recovery of the jewelry and the closure of the case file.
