"Al-Najda" Detains 221 Violators and Wanted Persons, Seizes Drugs and Alcohol in Al-Mahbula

The General Directorate of Emergency Police carried out an extensive security operation in the Al-Mahbula area, targeting violators and wanted individuals, resulting in the issuance of 790 traffic violations and the apprehension of 221 violators and wanted persons.
The Ministry of Interior stated that the operation was conducted in the presence of Al-Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ahmad, under the direct supervision of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, Brigadier General Hamad Al-Munifi, and Head of the Traffic and Operations Sector, Colonel Haqqooqi Ahmed Fahad Al-Azmi.
The Ministry clarified that those apprehended included 109 wanted individuals in connection with criminal and security cases, 62 foreigners whose residency permits had expired, 31 individuals without proof of identity, 11 persons in abnormal conditions, and 8 individuals for possession of narcotics and alcoholic beverages.
It added that the narcotics and alcoholic beverages were confiscated, and those apprehended in drug-related cases were referred to the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, along with the seizure of nine wanted vehicles.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that all necessary legal measures have been taken against all apprehended individuals and that they have been referred to the competent authorities.
