20 million citizens benefited from the early detection of cancer tumors initiative

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that it has provided services from the President’s free initiative for early detection of cancerous tumors (lung, prostate, colon, and cervical cancer) to more than 20.37 million citizens aged 18 and above, since the launch of the initiative in June 2023 as part of the “100 Million Health” initiatives.

Dr. Hussam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the initiative relies on a simple and effective mechanism that begins with completing an electronic questionnaire to identify risk factors and symptoms. Suspected cases are then referred for advanced tests and immediate treatment.

Dr. Abdel Ghaffar called on citizens to visit the nearest health unit or go to http://81.21.104.211/oncology/online to complete the initial questionnaire. He noted that if the result is negative, periodic follow-up is recommended, while positive cases are presented to multidisciplinary medical committees to determine the appropriate treatment course.
