Trump: We are achieving superiority in the "Hormuz" battle .. Iran does not want us to attack it again

U.S. President Donald Trump affirmed that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to navigation, asserting that Iran’s ability to threaten ships transiting the strait has become “extremely limited.” In a telephone interview with the U.S. news website Axios, Trump said, “Iran’s response has become extremely limited because Tehran does not want to be subjected to new U.S. strikes.” He added, “The Iranians do not want us to return to attacking them, and that is the bottom line.”

Meanwhile, the U.S. president posted an image of the United States on his social media platform, Truth Social, adding the Strait of Hormuz to it. Trump included the word “new” next to the image of the strait.

In this context, the website quoted a U.S. official, who wished to remain anonymous, as saying, “We have flipped the equation on the Iranians,” adding that growing U.S. control over the Strait of Hormuz could help the Trump administration secure a “better deal” with Iran if negotiations resume.
