Kuwait and Indonesia discuss expanding cooperation and supporting rural development

Our Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, Khaled Al-Yassin, stated that he discussed with Indonesian Minister of Rural Affairs and Rural Development Yandri Susanto ways to expand cooperation between the two countries and support development efforts in rural areas, alongside strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing areas of joint work to serve their mutual interests. Ambassador Al-Yassin added in a statement received by KUNA that Minister Susanto emphasized during their meeting the depth of bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Indonesia. Susanto praised Kuwaiti efforts in humanitarian and charitable work within Indonesia, noting that these efforts included the establishment of model villages, schools, health centers, and mosques, as well as the drilling of water wells and the provision of other vital services contributing to the development of rural areas. Minister Susanto presented a certificate of appreciation to the Embassy of the State of Kuwait, expressing the Indonesian government’s gratitude for the strenuous efforts and constructive contributions made by the State of Kuwait in the field of sustainable development and alleviating the plight of the most vulnerable groups. For his part, Ambassador Al-Yassin highlighted the State of Kuwait’s global leadership in relief, humanitarian, and developmental work, stressing Kuwait’s commitment to developing its friendly relations with the Republic of Indonesia across various fields to achieve the common interests of both countries.
