In Video: Caught Red-Handed: Interpol Arrests Egyptian Security Guard and Stamp Forger at Government Hospital

The Criminal Security Affairs Sector, represented by the Arab and International Criminal Police Department (Interpol), successfully apprehended an Egyptian resident working as a security guard at a government hospital and a female national employed at the same hospital, caught in the act in a case involving the sale and use of forged government stamps and the misappropriation of fees due to the state.

The arrests followed a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, after investigative efforts by competent authorities led to the detention of the first suspect and the discovery of several forged government stamps in his possession.

During interrogation, the suspect identified the second suspect, prompting authorities to set up a tight ambush. She was observed placing a forged government stamp on a transaction, leading to her arrest in the act and the seizure of similar stamps from her possession.

The Ministry stated that investigators documented the suspect completing a transaction using a forged government stamp in exchange for a monetary amount, confirming that she exploited her job duties to gain illicit financial benefit.

The suspect admitted to exploiting her position to process transactions using forged government stamps, while retaining the original stamps and reusing them in other transactions. She also confessed to removing previously used stamps from archived files and reusing them.

The suspects and the seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal actions against them.
