Under the slogan “Kuwait is by your side,” Salwa Zakat, affiliated with the Al-Najah Charity Association, is presenting the Salwa Village project in Yemen to philanthropists. The village represents an integrated model of humanitarian and development initiatives aimed at transitioning families from inadequate housing conditions to a life of greater stability and dignity. The project goes beyond mere house construction, offering a comprehensive system that includes housing, a mosque, and a water source, thereby enhancing social stability and improving the quality of life for beneficiaries.
Eng. Thamer Marzouq Al-Sahib, Director of Salwa Zakat at Al-Najah Charity Association, stated that the village concept emerged in response to the difficult humanitarian reality faced by many Yemeni families, particularly those who are self-respecting and reside in dilapidated homes or informal settlements lacking even the most basic amenities for a decent life.
