Defense and Military Cooperation Agreement with Pakistan

Kuwait’s Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, and Pakistan’s Minister of Defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, signed the Joint Defense and Military Cooperation Agreement in Islamabad, in the presence of Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Islamabad, Nasser Al-Mutairi.
This came in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Defense during the Minister of Defense’s official visit to Pakistan. The statement noted that the meeting reviewed Kuwait-Pakistan relations, explored prospects for close cooperation in the military and defense sectors, and discussed the latest regional and international developments, issues of mutual interest, and efforts undertaken to address them, all of which contribute to supporting security and stability in the region and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
It clarified that signing this agreement represents an important milestone in the military and defense cooperation between the two countries, as it provides a supportive framework for enhancing operational coordination, exchanging expertise, and raising the readiness and integration levels of the armed forces.
Kuwait and Pakistan sign joint defense and military cooperation agreement
Kuwait’s Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, met with his Pakistani counterpart, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in Islamabad during his official visit to the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, where he was accorded an official military welcome ceremony.
The meeting reviewed Kuwait-Pakistan relations, explored prospects for close cooperation in the military and defense sectors, and discussed the latest regional and international developments, issues of mutual interest, and efforts undertaken to address them, all of which contribute to supporting security and stability in the region.
The visit also saw the signing of the Joint Defense and Military Cooperation Agreement between Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense and Pakistan’s Ministry of Defense. The agreement was signed on behalf of the State of Kuwait by Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, and on behalf of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan by Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in the presence of Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan and Kuwait’s Ambassador to the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Nasser Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
