Rania Returns to Cinema

Actress Rania Farid Shawqi returns to the cinema after a long absence through the film “Al-Hafi” (The Barefooted), in which she portrays the character “Dr. Hiyam,” a physician who adopts a scientific approach to phenomena that some associate with superstition and charlatanism. She engages in an intellectual confrontation with characters who exploit the beliefs of ordinary people. The film stars Elham Shahin, Khaled El Sawy, and Amr Abdel Ghali, and is written by Mohamed Al-Ghaiti and directed by Mazen Al-Jabali.
