Deputy Foreign Minister: Unifying Islamic efforts and stances in defense of the Palestinian cause

Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Hamad Al-Mushaan participated in the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, held at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.

In Kuwait’s statement before the session, Al-Mushaan reaffirmed Kuwait’s historic, principled, and steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, and its support for the right of the fraternal Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. He emphasized the importance of the full implementation of the comprehensive peace plan for the Gaza Strip, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025).

He also reiterated Kuwait’s condemnation of settlement activities and attacks by extremist settlers, and its rejection of all measures aimed at altering the historical and legal status quo in the city of Jerusalem, calling for the unification of Islamic efforts and positions in defense of the Palestinian cause and Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem).

On another note, Ambassador Hamad Al-Mushaan met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad of the friendly Republic of The Gambia, Sirring Modou Njie, on the sidelines of the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, held at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah, to discuss developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and explored ways to enhance and develop them across various fields.
