Egypt and the US reaffirm the importance of diplomatic solutions to crises to preserve regional security and stability

Egypt and the United States of America have affirmed the importance of continuing to develop political, economic, trade, and investment cooperation, given that the partnership between the two sides serves as a fundamental pillar for supporting security and stability in the region.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that this came during a meeting held by Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. Badr Abdelatty with Michael Regas, the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Management and Resources.

The statement clarified that the two sides discussed recent developments in the regional situation and the rapid changes occurring in the region, exchanging views on efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain instability.

In this context, Minister Abdelatty emphasized the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions and dialogue in addressing crises, and intensifying regional and international efforts to contribute to maintaining the security and stability of the region.

The meeting also addressed the strategic relationship between Egypt and the United States and ways to enhance it across various fields. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing coordination and close consultation between the two countries, building on the momentum of bilateral relations to serve shared interests.
