Civil Defense: Protecting Children from Electrical Hazards by Covering Sockets and Keeping Cords Away

The General Fire Force, in an awareness post titled “Protecting Children from Electricity,” urged parents to take a number of preventive measures to safeguard children from the risks of electric shock at home. It emphasized the necessity of covering electrical outlets and keeping wires and electrical appliances out of children’s reach, thereby preventing them from tampering with or using these items in ways that could endanger them. The Force also called for educating children about the dangers of electricity and raising their awareness not to approach or tamper with outlets, wires, or electrical devices, while stressing the importance of continuous supervision of children, especially when they are at home. The General Fire Force affirmed that adherence to safety procedures and constant supervision contribute to reducing household accidents and protecting children from the risks of electricity.
