Food Authority: 16 violations during inspection campaign on food establishments in Al-Qurain markets

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition carried out a joint inspection campaign in the Al-Qurain Markets area, in cooperation with relevant government authorities, resulting in the issuance of 16 violations and the seizure of several infractions at food establishments.

In a press statement, the Authority for Food and Nutrition said the inspection campaign covered 35 food establishments. The violations included the circulation of food materials unfit for human consumption and the opening of food establishments before obtaining a health license from the Authority.

It added that the violations also included non-compliance with health and general hygiene requirements, as well as the circulation of food products without health certificates.

The Authority emphasized the continuation of its inspection campaigns and rounds in collaboration with competent authorities to enhance compliance with health requirements and safeguard food safety and consumer health.
