The Ministry of Electricity and Water delivers an awareness lecture to Al-Shaie employees on energy conservation

Darine Al-Ali As part of the efforts by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy to promote a culture of conserving electricity and water and to strengthen sustainability concepts, within the framework of the national energy and water conservation campaign “Wafar,” the Ministry, represented by the Awareness and Education Team for Conservation, delivered an awareness lecture to employees of Al-Sha’ee Group, in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Monitoring, Control and Supervision Centers at the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Eng. Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat, and a representative of Al-Sha’ee Group, Mr. Hamoud Abdullah Al-Sha’ee, along with several senior executives and employees of the group.

The lecture covered key daily behaviors and practices that contribute to conserving electricity and water, the importance of optimal resource use, and the role of individuals and institutions in supporting sustainability. It also highlighted various practices that can be implemented in workplaces and different facilities to enhance consumption efficiency and reduce waste.

The “Wafar” team also outlined the objectives of the national campaign and the Ministry’s efforts to raise public awareness about the importance of conserving electricity and water, through awareness programs and initiatives and by building partnerships with various entities and public and private sector organizations. It emphasized that conservation is a shared responsibility between individuals and institutions, and that adopting prudent practices contributes to improving the efficiency of national resource use, preserving these resources, and supporting the sustainability of the electricity and water systems.
