Chief of Staff Witnesses Lottery for Officer Cadet Cohort: Reinforcing Principles of Justice and Equality in Admission Procedures

Under the patronage of Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, and in the presence of Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Khaled Al-Sharhan, the Ali Al-Sabah Military College conducted a public lottery to select applicants for the 52nd Officer Cadet Course for holders of high school diplomas and vocational diplomas, at a multi-purpose building.

During the lottery proceedings, the Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the Army’s General Staff places great importance on upholding the principles of justice and equality in all admission procedures. He noted that the adoption of a public lottery serves as a reaffirmation of the principle of equal opportunity for all applicants, reflecting the military institution’s approach to enhancing integrity and transparency, and safeguarding the rights of candidates, in accordance with clear and objective standards without exception.

Major General Al-Sharhan also congratulated the admitted cadets, wishing them success and achievement in their military careers, and urged them to stand alongside their comrades in the Armed Forces in fulfilling their duties and serving the nation. He affirmed that those who were not selected still have numerous opportunities to contribute to the service of the State of Kuwait in various fields.

The lottery proceedings were attended by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Air Marshal Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad, and several senior commanding officers of the Army.

Notably, the public lottery was broadcast live via the social media platforms of the Army’s General Staff.
