Actress Razan Jamal is renewing her collaboration with actor Qusai Khuli, as they star together in a new dramatic production directed by Muhammad Jumaa. This follows the notable success the duo achieved in their first joint project, the series “Al Qadr.” According to Sidati Net, Jamal is scheduled to begin filming the new work soon in Lebanon. The project is produced by Eagle Films and features a cast of leading stars from Syrian and Lebanese drama.
Jamal’s most recent dramatic work outside the Arab world was her participation alongside a group of Hollywood stars in the second season of “The Sandman,” which recently premiered on Netflix. In the series, she portrays the sole Arab presence in the DC/Vertigo Comics universe, appearing alongside Tom Sturridge, Gina Coladangelo, Rory O’Connor, Freddie Fox, Cliff Curtis, Laurence Fishburne, and Jack Gleeson.
Her latest cinematic release is the film “Asad” (Lion), directed by the renowned Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab. The film was released in cinemas last May and achieved both commercial and critical success. Jamal stars in the film alongside actor Mohamed Ramadan.
It is worth noting that Jamal won the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 49th Cairo International Film Festival for her role in the film “Kira and the Genies,” directed by Marwan Hamed, which featured a large ensemble cast including Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Azab, and Hanaa Sarai.
