Worra Bank announced its participation as a strategic partner in the national “Save” campaign launched by the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, aiming to raise community awareness about the importance of conserving electricity and water, and to support national efforts to alleviate electrical loads and preserve resources.
This partnership aligns with Worra Bank’s commitment to continuing its active role in corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and to contributing to national initiatives that have a positive and lasting impact on society. The bank operates on the belief that resource conservation is a shared responsibility requiring the collaboration of various entities, institutions, and members of the community.
Worra Bank’s contribution involves sponsoring and producing four educational video clips, in collaboration with a specialized media company for advertising content production. These clips will be published across social media platforms and the media channels of both the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy and Worra Bank, alongside the participation of several influencers, the programs “Diwaniyat Mahfooz” and “Rukan,” and 360 FM radio station.
The clips were prepared in a simplified, relatable social style, contributing to delivering practical, actionable messages for daily life and encouraging community members to adopt more conscious behaviors in their consumption of electricity and water, thereby reducing waste.
The clips address several daily practices through which individuals can contribute to lowering consumption, most notably optimizing the use of air conditioning units, especially in unused rooms, as well as raising awareness about the importance of adjusting air conditioning temperatures to help reduce electricity consumption. The campaign also highlights the importance of minimizing excessive water waste in home gardens, using water heaters more efficiently, and provides various practical guidelines to help community members turn conservation into a sustainable daily practice.
In this regard, Dr. Mohammed Barakat, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Group at Worra Bank, stated that the bank’s participation in the national “Save” campaign stems from its belief in the importance of partnering with government entities to support initiatives that directly impact the lives of community members. He added that conserving electricity and water is not the responsibility of a single entity, but rather a shared responsibility requiring cooperation among government and private institutions, society, and individuals. He noted that Worra Bank consistently supports national efforts that contribute to building a more aware and sustainable community through its programs and community initiatives.
Dr. Barakat explained that the campaign stands out for its focus on daily behaviors and delivering simple, practical messages that the public can easily apply, emphasizing that raising awareness is a fundamental step in achieving positive and sustainable changes in consumption patterns. He pointed out that producing four educational clips in a relatable social style, and leveraging social media, traditional media, and influencers, reflects Worra Bank’s commitment to reaching various segments of society and delivering educational messages in an impactful and simplified manner.
The partnership aligns with Worra Bank’s values of corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and reflects its dedication to enhancing cooperation with government entities and contributing to national initiatives that have a positive impact on society and resources. The campaign comes at a time when the importance of conserving consumption and raising awareness about practices that help alleviate electrical loads is growing, with community awareness representing one of the key pillars supporting national efforts in this field.
Worra Bank emphasizes that achieving tangible results in conserving electricity and water begins with simple daily behaviors, whether through the responsible use of air conditioning units, avoiding water waste, or the prudent use of water heaters, among other practices that, with consistency, can evolve into entrenched community habits.
Through this partnership, Worra Bank reaffirms its commitment to its role in social responsibility and continues to support national initiatives that contribute to enhancing community awareness and preserving resources, in line with its strategies for sustainability and community service.
