The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced that Al-Mutakamila Holding Company has made a total contribution of $6 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, comprising a $3 million cash contribution and a $3 million in-kind contribution, in support of the national initiative aimed at enhancing Kuwait’s preparedness and improving the efficiency of the emergency response system.
The Fund emphasized that this contribution embodies the active role of the private sector in supporting national efforts, particularly as it combines direct cash support with the provision of specialized equipment and machinery that meet the needs of government entities in affected sectors, thereby enhancing response efficiency and accelerating the implementation of priority tasks.
The in-kind contribution consists of providing the necessary equipment and machinery for various state agencies to support their operations in affected sectors, thereby strengthening the capacity of relevant entities to carry out their duties and handle diverse emergency situations efficiently and effectively.
Al-Mutakamila Holding Company is among the leading Kuwaiti firms in providing engineering solutions for the logistics services sector. Through its subsidiaries, it operates in equipment rental, cranes and heavy loads, drilling rig transportation and relocation, port operations, and provides services to oil field and energy sectors, as well as infrastructure projects across the Middle East and North Africa.
It is worth noting that the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was launched on July 5 last year, initiated by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and approved by the Council of Ministers. The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development manages and oversees the Fund’s operations, with the aim of providing a flexible financing mechanism to support priority interventions and projects, and to enhance the state’s capacity to address emergency needs and circumstances efficiently and effectively.
