Nizahah presents Kuwait's experience in enhancing transparency by identifying the beneficial owner in Vienna

The Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nizaha) showcased the State of Kuwait’s experience in enhancing transparency through the identification of beneficial owners during the plenary session of the seventh meeting of the GlobE Network, the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities, held at the United Nations International Centre in Vienna, Austria.

In a press statement, Nizaha noted that its Observer for International Organizations and Conferences, Dhafer Buayyab, presented an overview of the comprehensive legislative framework adopted by Kuwait to enhance beneficial ownership transparency, along with the latest legislative developments. The presentation also highlighted the role of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in this area, as well as Nizaha’s contribution to supporting these efforts from an anti-corruption perspective.

The statement clarified that this participation continues Nizaha’s regional and international efforts in this field. The Authority prepared the “Guidelines on Practices and Measures for Identifying Beneficial Owners in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries,” which reflects the perspective of anti-corruption bodies in this domain and serves as an important reference for GCC member states.
