Nazaahat presents Kuwait’s experience in enhancing transparency through the identification of beneficial owners in Vienna

The Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha) showcased Kuwait’s experience in enhancing transparency through the identification of beneficial owners during the seventh plenary session of the GlobE Network, the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities, held at the United Nations Office at Vienna in Austria.

In a press statement, Nazaha noted that its Observer for International Organizations and Conferences, Dhafer Buayyab, presented an overview of the comprehensive legal framework adopted by Kuwait to enhance beneficial ownership transparency, along with the latest legislative developments. The presentation also highlighted the role of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in this area, as well as Nazaha’s contribution to supporting these efforts from an anti-corruption perspective.

The statement clarified that this participation continues Nazaha’s regional and international efforts in this field. The Authority has prepared the “Guide on Practices and Measures for Identifying Beneficial Owners in the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries,” which reflects the perspective of anti-corruption bodies in this domain and serves as an important reference for GCC member states.
