Al-Qadisiya defeats Al-Fahaheel in the Zain Premier League

Al-Qadsia secured a 2-1 victory over Al-Fahaheel in their match today at the Naif Al-Dabbous Stadium, home of Al-Fahaheel Club, as part of the first round of the Zain Premier League. With this win, Al-Qadsia moved to three points, while the losers remained on zero.

In the first half, both teams exchanged attacks, but there was little danger to the goals due to a lack of focus in the penalty area and solid defensive positioning. Al-Fahaheel opened the scoring after a cross from Cape Verdean player Alvin Fortes reached the prolific Brazilian striker Vitor Da Silva, who fired a powerful shot into the net of Al-Qadsia goalkeeper Hamid Al-Qallaf (23'). Al-Fahaheel nearly doubled their lead when Sharida Al-Sharida unleashed a powerful shot that struck the crossbar (36'). Al-Qadsia, known as the Yellows, pushed for an equalizer, launching continuous attacks in the final minutes of the half. They finally found the net through a long-range strike by Nigerian player Gabriel Orok, which went past Al-Fahaheel goalkeeper Ali Fadel (43'). In stoppage time, Omani player Abdulrahman Al-Mashifri scored Al-Qadsia’s second goal with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area (45+5').

In the second half, both teams showed significant physical decline, which contributed to a drop in attacking performance. Passing errors became frequent, and there were no dangerous attempts on goal. The match ended with the same scoreline as at halftime. Referee Ahmed Ali managed the match well.
