Al-Sha'oomi Legal Group Obtains Court Ruling Canceling Eviction Order for Client's Home in East Taima

Al-Shaoumi Legal Group obtained a court ruling in which the Administrative Court annulled the decision of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare to evict its client’s home in the Shargh Taima area. The lawyer Abdul Karim Al-Majhool, from Al-Shaoumi Legal Group, had filed this lawsuit against the Director General of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, seeking to annul the administrative decision issued by the Authority against his client, which included the termination of the lease agreement signed between them on June 9, 2021, regarding his government-owned house in “Shargh Taima.” The group stated that the administrative decision in question was issued in violation of the law and was subject to nullity and abuse of power, with the administrative authority deviating from the correct legal path. It pointed out that the administrative authority’s decision exceeded the bounds of reality, given that there is a lease agreement containing legal rights and obligations for both the administrative authority and the plaintiff, which prevent either party from unilaterally overturning those terms and rights. Al-Shaoumi Legal Group further added that the public interest requires considering the balances and specific needs of individuals and families, which the Constitution has granted constitutional protection and legal guarantees.
